Halkano Dofta (2012 EPA)

Dofta is a seasoned peace practitioner with over ten year’s experience of work in developing and implementing peace programs in different organizations and with different donor partners. He worked for 8 years at the Catholic Diocese of Marsabit Caritas office as the Coordinator of Justice and Peace. He also worked for a year as the program manager for Disaster Risk Reduction at the Pastoralist Integrated Support Program (PISP) organization where peace was a component addressing conflict as one of the Disaster. Halkano Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Pontifical Urbanian University in Rome and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). He is currently the Executive Director of Children Peace Initiative Kenya where also he is not only a founder member of the organization but also the architect of model peace building program on Integrating Children in inter-ethnic conflict transformation.


Jane Kinyua (2012 EPA)

janeJane Wanjiru Kinyua is the Country Associate, Karamoja Cluster Project (K.C.P) in Kenya under the partnership of University of Peace Costa Rica. She is a graduate from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (C.U.E.A) with Bachelors of Arts Degree in Youth Ministry. She has worked in different development related fields with various institutions in Kenya and in Arusha-Tanzania. She has worked with young people acquitted for juvenile crime within the Government of Kenya rehabilitation schools under CEFA- an International Non Governmental Organization. Since 2009 Jane has also worked as a peace consultant among the pastoralist communities in Marsabit and Samburu counties in Kenya. Additionally, she is a founding member of Children Peace Initiative Kenya, a National Non- Governmental organization that works with children to promote peace among the Pastoralists communities in Baringo East, Samburu and Marsabit Counties of Kenya. Prior to joining K.C.P, Jane worked as a program Manager PECIFAP(Peace through Children Initiative Facilitation Program).
