The only way to bring a Catholic priest from the Congo to Indonesia, a Palestinian from Gaza to England, the director of the Islamic library in Sarajevo to Israel,  and an American rabbi and educator from Boston to Bulgaria to engage with and understand more about the “other” is with your support.

Participation in our programs has led fellows to begin their own training programs in East Africa, southern Africa, the Balkans, and Canada. It has allowed directors of citizenship education in Israel to take their learning back home and share it with hundreds of teachers; it has resulted in the seeding of inter-religious centers within existing Bosnian NGOs; and it has resulted in the regular sharing of inter-communal meals in Houston, Texas.

Bringing fellows from around the world together is the only way to guarantee that the “other” will be present. And learning to live with difference in the presence of the “other” is a crucial step toward a more stable and peaceful world.

Donate online to CEDAR–Communities Engaging with Difference and Religion via Mightycause.

The total cost of the two-week program–including international travel, program expenses, food, and lodging–is $5000.00 per participant. CEDAR is responsible for almost all of these costs and thus depends on corporate and individual donations. We invite you to join our supporters and send your donation to
